I am making this post to see if I can't give you all a little insight into the character known as Demont Roussai. Not only for you all, but for myself as well.
I concieved the idea of Demont when I was a budding eleven years old.
I had just been introduced to Hollow. I didn't know anything really of writing, and grammar and everything else I now know. I didn't know where to begin, so I started at...The beggining. I forged him as a child, one who had lost his parents due to murder. -So cliche, right?- I was young, give me a break.
From the start, I never had the slightest idea of what I wanted him to be, and now, after so many years of playing him I think I might understand him, even though I created him.
But, in that respect I am only like a parent, and he was my child. His own person, capable of growing and building his character without any forethought on my part.
I didn't try to make him something I wanted him to be, instead I let him become...Whatever he was.
Admitidly, and I am not sure if this statement I am about to make should be reason for sending me to the padded hotel, but really, I don't know what Demont thinks, or how he acted.
To me, he was more than just a character in a virtual, fantasy land. He was a person.
Demont never really sought power, or greatness, but fairness, and recognition for a job well done. He also wasn't a good guy, or bad, though some of his morals might have been skewed a bit.
And, he liked the ladies. *shrug*.
You know, despite all these words I am writing, I still can't find a way to describe Demont.
I'll end this here, as I am sure my writing has no flow and is hard to read, or boring to read, or may not make sense.
As the title suggests, Demont was a friend to me for a little more than 10 years or so, and now he's gone. I retired him, and just wanted to say, "so long" to him.
You all can too, if you'd like. Not sure if that makes us crazier than we already are, though. Saying good-bye to a made up person.
