--Wedding, The High Elf Palace Garden. Rynvale--
Talisia smiles as she begins walking down. She was slightly sad that her father did not make it but she hid it well as she smiled to all that had gathered.#
Myrall goes to stand in front of the gathered crowd and coughs clearing her throat. "If I might have your attention please, I believe we are ready to start." She looks to Majokoru for conformation.
Majokoru nods and wonders what he should do next as he walks up to where Myrall was.
Myrall nods "Before I start though might I ask that all weaponry be sheathed or stowed apart from that carried by the guards." She briefly allows her gaze to rest on those she has hired for the occasion. "Violence of any sort will be dealt with swiftly and finally."
Talisia smiles as she begins her march down
Majokoru smiles as he watches his wife to be walk towards him.
Talisia smiles at Majo, all others gone as she focuses on him.
Myrall waits patiently for the couple to stand side by side in front of her before beginning. “You have all come here this day to witness the joining of this couple Majokoru and Talisia in marriage, but before I can ask them to make the vows that will bind them together for all eternity I must first, in accordance with our laws ask this of them.” She turns her head slightly to address the groom. “Sir, do you come here this night of your own free will and volition with the intention of taking this woman as your bride?”
Leoxander spared a glance at Myrall, then down at the pouch placed in his hand. Only a nod given as he tucks the gold away safely near his heart, beneath his armor. He might appear just a little paranoid in a crowd like that, but that's most likely because face masks aren't a fashionable accessory to wear to weddings, therefore his gruff, unshaven features are exposed.
Makenaka looks to fertangle and myrall and smiles. It had been far to long since he had seen either of them, Though not knowing Fertie as well as he knew Myrall, but none the less gave them both a nod as if he would like to talk to them after this wedding.
Majokoru smiles at Talisia before smiling to Myrall and saying, "I do."
Leoxander also becomes aware of who the happy couple are, and he would take a moment to smirk at the irony, before playing the part of a statue. Silent, out of the way, inked arms folded over his chest, doing nothing to attract any attention.
Myrall nods then switches her attention to the bride. “M’lady, I now ask the same of you. Do you come here this day of your own free will and volition with the intention of taking this man as your husband?”
Talisia smiles at Majokoru as she says, "I do."
Colette glances over at Makenaka for a moment. She was curious as to why he was holding his staff so tightly as such a beautiful wedding.
Makenaka notices someone glancing at him and loosens his grip and continues to watch the wedding.
Leoxander trained his somewhat feral eyes mostly toward the captain of this little wedding party, the priestess herself. The kind of look that might make anyone who didn't know him feel their hair stand on end.
Myrall graces the couple with an encouraging smile as she continues. “Marriage is by its very nature is a binding commitment, it is an oath before the gods and your friends that you will ever more be as one, so in a few minutes I will ask you to repeat the vows that will make you man and wife. But before do I would like to give you both the chance to tell each other the love and joy that you feel upon taking this first step on your life’s journey together. So Majokoru, is there any words you have for Talisia at this time, so that she might know what is in your heart?”
Leoxander scratches the corner of his jaw.
Majokoru looks towards Talisia and says, "Ever since you were that gawky girl that followed me around, I have had feelings for you. Since then those feelings have grown and have evolved. This day, we are about to take those feelings and watch them evolve into this next phase of our life together."
Makenaka waits and holds his staffa little tigher becoming nervous .
Colette looks over to Makenaka and whispers, "Chill out, man."
Myrall gives an approving nod then looks to Talisia “And you M’lady? Is there aught you wish to say to your betrothed so that he might now how you feel this day?”
Makenaka gives a warning glare to cole but keeps his mouth shut for he there only for the couple no one else.
Leoxander kept a suspicious watch on Makenaka, as though -he- is a cause for concern... as though the lycan has some authority or right to care. Truthfully, he can play his part rather professionally, and though a little scrawnier in appearance when lacking the fur and brutal strength, would anyone really test this tattooed, outcast pirate standing in the back of the garden, with a long blade of grass chewed idly between his teeth? Something tells him it will be a relatively peaceful day. How dull...
Rolan pinches his lover's side and whispers, 'Calm down, Coley."
Myrall glances over towards Colette, no words spoken, but her gaze seems to ask if there is a problem?
Colette glares at Rolan before turning her attention to the wedding once more.
Talisia smiles towards Majokoru and says, "When I came to hollow, it was to find out what happened to my beloved twin sister. I found out but then I found you. You have given me so much and still continue to do so. I can't wait for the next phase of our life to begin."
Colette shakes her head in return to Myrall's gaze meaning she would take care of it.
Makenaka looks to Portea shooting him a gaze as if he was doing somehting unrighteous and clenches his staff harder.
Colette hands Logan over to Rolan before walking over to Makenaka. She whispers in his ear quietly.
Myrall bows her head slightly, and draws in a deep breath before she continues. “We now come to what is probably the most important part of the ceremony, the exchanging of vows and the giving and receiving of rings.” She reaches into her robe and withdraws two beautiful Mithral bands. “These rings are the ones that you will both wear for the rest of your lives, they will stand as a perfect reminder to all of the promises you have made to each other this night, and the love and commitment you share.” She leans forward and gives Majokoru one of the bands. “Please take this ring and place it on your bride’s finger repeating these words: I give you this ring as a sign of my love, and so that you might know that from this moment forth I am yours in mind and body, that I now devote my life to you, and give to you all that I am and all that I am to be.”
Makenaka loooks offended to Colette and whispers back.
Makenaka whispered something to Colette.
Leoxander took a moment to glance at Myrall. Any silent direction would be enough, should she decide against someone's presence.
Fertangle looks at the chimera and twitches his head to the right, the beast slowly trudges around the gathering and makes his way over to the Elf as directed by his master. The chimera stops next to the man, before sitting down with an audible thud, all three head watching him making sure he doesn’t do anything that would be detrimental to his health.
Makenaka looks to the chimera and sits down next to it on the ground holding his staff against him. It is now obvious that the staff is a keep sake from the design in it. He pats the chimera lightly letting it know he means no trouble.
Leoxander trails his attention back to Makenaka and Colette wordlessly, dropping a hand to give the black dog who wanders up to his side a quiet pat. The animal seems as bored as his lycan companion, and Jack huffs a heavy side with his nose pointed toward the grass. Days such as these were best left behind in the dust, in the wake of their wayward chaos.
Majokoru takes the ring from Myrall and gingerly places the ring on Talisia's finger, grinning broadly, "I give you this ring as a sign of my love, and so that you might know that from this moment forth I am yours in mind and body, that I now devote my life to you, and give to you all that I am and all that I am to be."
Myrall then takes the twin of the first ring and carefully hands it to Talisia “M’lady, please take this ring and place it on your groom’s finger, repeating the words that will make you his wife: I give you this ring as a sign of my love, and so that you might know that from this moment forth I am yours in mind and body, that I now devote my life to you, and give to you all that I am and all that I am to be.”
Makenaka beginning to feel quesy from the expendature of energy he has been using to hold back his dragon form form comming out he heads to the door heading out. The last thing heard as he left was the sound of bones popping and muscles stretching. from a distance you could hear a roar of pain.
Leoxander followed Makenaka with his eyes all the way to the... garden door? Who knows...
Fertangle rolls his eyes as Mertak was patted, the snakes head snaps at the hand, the goat head snorts at the Elf and the lions head bears it’s razor shape teeth accompanied by a low raspy roar. It was obvious to all that the chimera wasn’t here to make friends with anyone, but instead he was here as a statement of cause trouble and I’ll rip your head off and pulp your bones overkill.
Talisia takes the ring from Myrall and slowly places the ring on Majokoru's finger. Tears of joy stream down her cheeks as she says, "I give you this ring as a sign of my love, and so that you might know that from this moment forth I am yours in mind and body, that I now devote my life to you, and give to you all that I am and all that I am to be.”
Talisia gave 1 shimmering-mythril wedding-band to Majokoru.
Myrall's face breaks into a broad grin, as she raises her hands in front of her. "You have both satisfied the conditions set down by our laws, and have sworn before all your love and devotion, so that all there remains for me to do is, place upon you the blessings of the gods and ask all gathered to join with me in wishing you well as I pronounce you to be man and wife." she pauses for a short moment before smiling at Majokoru "Sir, you may now kiss your bride."
Leoxander cast a look over his shoulder, beyond the garden. Jack followed suit, raising his silky black ears to hear something in the distance. Only briefly would he take his attention away from the ceremony, a calm and collective look in mismatched eyes barely tinted with slivers of gold. The faint shadow of a smirk would twitch at the corner of his mouth, and he idle shifted his weight from one foot to the other, more anxious when Jack stood to greet the late arrival ahead of the rest.
Denth smiles
Leoxander turns his attention back just in time for the finalizing moment of the wedding, though he will most likely go on with an unimpressed, half asleep appearance, standing toward the very back of that particular choice of location.
Majokoru leans forward and lifts her veil. He grins as he kisses her tenderly, holding her close to him.
Tenebrae had actually been hovering in the background for quite some time now, not that anyone except perhaps the one individual sneakier than herself present might know it. She was watching the proceedings with a keen eye, and was armed to the back teeth with tiny hidden daggers, a not-so-hidden black sword and sundry other methods of keeping the peace for this joyous occasion. But as the vows were spoken, and Jack was pointing her out like a duck in a swamp, she figured it'd be time to reveal herself. A smirk was given a certain dichromatically-eyed individual, a respectful nod the rest of the crowd.
Talisia wraps her arms around his neck and broad shoulders as she kisses him back. She still blushes at the public display but for once she doesn't mind.
Tenebrae muttered something about gettin what she paid for, and tossed a small vial of a substance that obviously hadn' worked too well into a potted plant.
Leoxander eased back just a step or two with his eyes on a ceremony crowd. He'd give Jack a rewarding ruffle of his furry head just for the sake of watching his back, and ruining Tenebrae's fun. Not a word spoken between the two as he neared her side, arms still folded uncomfortably over his chest, concealing the few shuriken tucked away beside his payment for this gathering. He'd deal with that business aspect with the 'boss' after he'd thumbed through it a bit.
Myrall watches the happy couple kiss and smiles softly. "I am sure you would all like to join me in congratulating them both."
Majokoru turns and says, "Everyone is welcome to help themselves out to the spread here."
Denth would clap but doesn't want to be a pain.
Myrall takes a step forward and places a gentle hand on each of their shoulders. "I do honestly wish the pair of you every happiness."
Rolan claps lightly as he begins to get up and place Logan on his shoulders.
Tenebrae appeared to relax a little, now the ceremony was complete, though that wary vigilance was still ticking on high alert beneath the surface of the white smile she flashed her mate, and then turned toward the happy couple. Myrall was given a happy wave, and was Fertangle. She even let Jack lick her hand some, though she -knew- where his doggy tongue had been and shuddered a bit. She'd distract him with a sausage, lifted from the banquet.
Denth said to Talisia, "You wanted to speak with me before. What do you want to say?"
Leoxander took a moment to calmly watch Jack catch the sausage, chomping viciously at it.
Tenebrae was about to whisper a reply when the pirate filnched, and she shot him a meaningful look, hand on one dagger, fingers twitching for another. Probably unnecessary, but safety first...
Blake whispered something to Portea.
Myrall bows to the couple and makes her way over to leo and Tenebrae . "Greetings and well met both of you, it is so good to see you returned Leo, I felt for sure one of those leviathans must have eaten you for breakfast, but I should have known better I suppose, ‘twould take more than a mere beastie to swallow the likes of you."
Majokoru smiles to Myrall," Thank you for your blessings." he pauses and looks to Talisia and squeezes her hand back gently," What is it?"
Talisia said to you, "Thank you."
(several posts are missing here)
Tenebrae angled back a bit, nudging Myrall in return and even raising a blush on pale cheeks.
Fertangle drank a Fertangles extra special reserve.
Myrall hisses in Fertangle’s ear "No fish fights, got it?"
Leoxander was already addicted, grimacing every time he swallowed but still nodding to Fertangle with a grin that only seemed to come easier, after a few drinks. "Not bad, m'friend. Not bad..."
Tenebrae was suddenly interested in that label again.
Myrall, now with a bottle in each hand, is undecided as to which she should sup first, so in the best dwarven fashion alternates happily between them. Mumbling merrily between gulps. "Wine, ale, ale, wine....."
Majokoru smiles and watches his bride as she prepares to throw the bouquet, suddenly he remembers and rushes over, after excusing himself and waits to do his part for the single men out there.
Leoxander takes one to keep. It will likely become a dusty bottle on the shelf in his ship, but to Leo it will be an unspoken memory, and maybe something to open on a rainy day, a few years later when he needs to strip some rust off his locks.
Leoxander picked up 1 Fertangles extra special reserve.
Talisia giggles as she decides to just throw the bouquet out into the crowd.
Leoxander watches Jack leap out of no where, catching the bouquet like a frisbee.
Fertangle grabs another bottle and necks it even quicker than the first, two drinks in and he's wondering why he never knew Leo had a twin and Tene for that matter.
Kaowaul tries to run out of the way as the bouquet flies in his direction.
Leoxander widens his eyes as he sees the dog snatch the flowers out of the air, taking off running especially if anyone should happen to chase after him. Oh he loved this game!
Tenebrae 's face was hidden by the bottle she was drinking from, relief or disappointment a the dog's catch... who could tell?
Franz smiles. A happy time. His accompanying wind swirls about him warmly, to be felt by anyone near.
Majokoru smiles as she throws it and looks out over the crowd," Alright....you bachelors out there....line up." He gives Tali a playful grin before he just crouches and shoots his head up her dress to get one of her stockings off. after which he would ball up and look at the single men and close his eyes waiting to throw it.
Leoxander practically spit the drink he happened to be taking at that moment, finally managing to swallow to bark his dog's name. "Jack! Drop that! Son of a..." Well, we all know exactly what the dog's mother was, don't we? He handed off his bottle to Tenebrae and took off to try to chase the mutt down, since he was circling around the group willing someone to play. Leo to the rescue.
Myrall sits down with a thud on the floor of the gardens, giggling madly at the dog's antics. Leaning over she places the two now empty bottles in the crates and picks out two more, crossing her legs she starts to drink them, calling out in between gulps. "So tell me Leo, where d' ya stake you this time?"
Tenebrae lowered her bottle, took the one Leo'd shoved at her and rolled her eyes. She'd turn to Myrall. "Don't suppose you have a pair of "fuzzy dice" you might lend me?"
Talisia blushes deeply as Majo does what he does.
Myncia appears in the tree she was in before, still in her five-tailed kitten form, watching the other people.
Tenebrae is pretty sure Myrall'd get what she meant, having gifted the dwarfess with her own 'lucky charm' several years before.
Leoxander failed, in human form. Jack would dodge and dodge again until he had the thief frustrated and growling through his teeth, so he'd return to the group panting, in time to hear the question. "Where's my what? Steak?" If he had ears like Jack, they would have perked up. "Is it rare?" Maybe he was just a little buzzed off that bottle.
Majokoru smiles to her before giving a wink and tossing the stocking, balled up but as it reaches the one man it managed to drift to him, unballing along the way.
Leoxander takes his bottle back from Tenebrae, nevertheless.
Myrall starts to rummage through her knapsack at Tene's request, pulling out various odds and ends. "Let me see, brass knuckles, black helmet, sage, pine, holy water, ....gloves, rings, jack o'lantern,." she looks up and shakes her head. "Silver plated dwarf bollocks, or a pink fluffy bunny is about the nearest I'm afraid."
Kaowaul ducks as several guys run past him, trying to catch the stocking, though he hopes that the dog would catch it as well.
Myncia slowly crawls out of the tree, landing on the ground hopefully unnoticed, still watching the other people, still in her five-tailed kitten form.
Tenebrae gave Myrall a serious look. "Never mind, I might just hunt down a pair of my own, later." The grin she suppressed broke on her lips, and she swallowed another mouthful of rotgut.
Fertangle beckons the two Leo's over to him so he could whisper to them, he would have moved closer himself but for some reason his legs didn't want to move just at this time, well not in any form that would involve putting one in front of the other, they were quite content with weaving on the spot.
Kaowaul grabs the dog that was running around point blank, and walks over to Leoxander, "Is this yours sir? if it is, I have to put it down, it's terribly heavy to hold like this"
Myrall puts down the booze and tries to juggle the silver orbs, but finds that she just can’t quite co-ordinate the action. Tutting she picks them up from the floor and slips them back in her pocket.
Leoxander had lost his dog to some flowers, and Jack held that bouquet like a prize, even though a couple rough shakes of his head managed to rumple the leaves and knock a few flowers out of it. He'd try to bark through the mouthful to get someone's attention, but the pirate was able to ignore him and even relaxed enough to settle into a seat on the ground, taking a moment to admire the black leathered vampire with a glance. So their gothic assassin attire might stand out a little in a wedding crowd, but how was he to know that?
Leoxander just so happened to sit next to Fertangle.
Franz , who had been looking around at everyone, hadn't noticed Majokoru throwing anything. Suddenly he found he had a silk stocking laying across his face. Immediately his wind blew backwards, sticking it to his face, and holding it there no matter how hard he tried to pull it off. He remained silent, not wanting to attract attention.
Majokoru takes Tali up in a big hug and kiss," Let's enjoy ourselves....care to join me at the buffet?" He holds her hand as he walks over, plucking up all the delectables and getting some bottles.
Tenebrae was distracted from her plotting by the sight of a man wearing lingerie on his face. Huh. She shrugged. Took all types, she supposed.
Leoxander notes that Jack is very fast, and very strong and not that small, so if Kaowaul was to really perform that feat, Leoxander would not be happy with the hold give on his dog. A deadly look was fixed upon the stranger with the golden ring, and it seemed to state clearly: 'Put. Him. Down.'
Tenebrae paused mid-sip with a sort of 'uh-oh' look on her face a the exchange between Leo and Kaowaul.
Myncia darts in between people's legs and under the seats, making sure she remained unseen as she made her way over to Talisia.
Kaowaul remains still while dropping the dog onto the ground, "I think I left something over at the other end of the garden, please excuse me" with that he bolts off away from the angry Leo.
Myrall picks up her two drinks once more and continues her supping, alternating the ale and the wine in equal amounts, her grin spreading further across her face with each mouthful.
Myncia looks over at Leo and Kao, her eyes narrowing into tiny black slits.
Leoxander seemed to tense and sober in his seated spot on the ground, silent and unmoving. His eyes might appear to pale, rough pupils shrinking in their centers.
Majokoru said, "Feel free to take any leftover food and booze with you! But don't be greedy now!"
Fertangle it was at this point his legs decided that this standing malarkey was over rated and gave way under him, with a thud the Dwarf's ass struck the floor and he lent up against Leo whispering something to him and dangling a rather large pouch in front of Leo’s face.
Majokoru walks over to Myrall and gives a little bow," Thank you, for being here and everything." To be perfectly honest he could hold his liquor too well and was already semi-drunk, so against best judgement he reaches out to try and get a hug.
Leoxander altered his focus from what could have been prey, to something that interested the thief even more. His gaze followed the sway of pouch and he listened to the whispered words from the dwarf, his lean of return getting heavier each time he took another drink from one of several bottles hoarded close. He'd lost track of the first.
Tenebrae wasn't long in taking hasty steps toward her mate, a soothing hand reached to rumple spiky blond hair. "He' gone, love..." Yeah, every wedding needed a rampaging werewolf. She'd whisper a few soft words to him, while Jack recovered from being unceremoniously dumped to the ground. The mutt shook himself off, casting a wounded look behind him, but his attention was soon grabbed by the sight of a ... five-tailed cat? A pirate's dog' dream come true.
Fertangle whispered something to Leoxander.
Myrall stands a touch unsteadily and embraces the groom warmly. "It was my pleasure, and I am so glad that none of the expected trouble materialised."
Fertangle whispered to Leoxander. “What says you to................ummm.......what’s the right word for it.........kidnap no, no, no misplace Myrall for a few weeks. I need some peace and quiet around here for a while, she gets under your skin if you know what I mean?”
Myncia looks over at the dog and smirks softly, waving her tails as if to say, "Come get me."
Leoxander nearly ruined it all with his expression, but he would cover up the look well enough. A laugh like Fertangle had just told him a really great, especially crude joke about a gnome and a centaur, and after tilting back the bottle for another patient drink he'd thump the dwarf on the back, probably spilling some of his drink.
Tenebrae didn't really expect Leo to reply she was eyeing Jack, whose flaggy tail was wagging ten to the dozen. A happy yip, and paws scrambled on the ground when he took off. Hopefully Myncia would oblige him by running away.
Majokoru nods and drinks down another bottle, then immediately regretting it, seems he grabbed something a bit too strong and seeing how he was such a light drinker. he smiles to her drunkenly," Tish....a pleasures to haves you heres....feel free to..do whatevers..." he does a little half spin and notices the kitten, then goes after it in a drunken run.
Leoxander heard what he thought was a whisper, and he'd look in Tenebrae's direction with a mischievous grin, but no, there was no answer or revelation of secrets, yet. He was enjoying his drunken conversation with his mining buddy.
Myncia watches the dog when she notices Majo was also running at her. She rolls her eyes. "Oh, goody, another person to scare the crap out of..." she mutters before shapeshifting into her human-feline form.
Myrall chuckles as she watches him scamper after dogs and kittens, then hearing Leo laugh turns and eyes her husband suspiciously. "Something funny my love?"
Majokoru skids to a halt and looks at the feline with a smile," Hayz....you made it....come gets a hugs."
Fertangle nearly lost some of his drink as he was thumped in the back, but he recovered skilfully even in his drunk state, not letting a drop be spilled, another bottle finished. He nodded to Leo, pulling another even larger pouch out and waved it in front of his friend.
Tenebrae really couldn't help a peal of laughter as the cat Jack was bolting for was suddenly a different shape and mass altogether. Claws skidding him to a halt took up little divots of neat lawn, and he'd sit suddenly on his rump, head tilted as he gave a soft whine, confusion in those brown eyes.
Leoxander cast an almost annoyed look in the dwarven queen's direction, a raise of a bottle saying something like 'go on, then, we're having guy talk'. Though he didn't really expect a dwarven woman to calmly abide by a pirate's gestures.
Leoxander whispered to Fertangle : “I sympathize, friend. But you can't be bloody serious... "
Fertangle whispered to Leoxander : “I'm always serious when I want some peace and quiet from her......"
Majokoru shows up three or four fingers, he couldn't really tell." I only has....dis many drinks okeey?" he stumbles forward and latches onto her in a tight hug," Youes a silly kitty."
Tenebrae shook her head, whether at the dog's dilemma or at her grinning pirate, who knew? She slugged back another shot, and put the bottle down. Something told her that -somebody- better stay sharp.
Myncia laughs, petting the dog on the head before shapeshifting into a somewhat larger cat form; that of a two-tailed hellkitten, complete with flames at its paws. She waved her tails at the dog and started running around.
Myrall decides for once not to cause an argument with Fertangle, knowing there would be plenty of time later to tear a strip or two from his hide. Instead she returns her attention to her bottles, though she blinks at the now nearly empty bottles and her head starts to take on that familiar muzzy feeling.
Leoxander wasn't ever that somebody. He went to take another drink and would look fairly disappointed when nothing more than a few bitter drops hit his tongue, so the bottle was absently set aside, empty.
Tenebrae was pretty sure Jack had never seen a cat like that. So was Jack. The dog yelped, and bolted under the cloth covering the table.
Leoxander whispered to Fertangle : “A cruise couldn't hurt. Those storms can be pretty convenient for getting someone... 'misplaced’.”
Majokoru smiles as she shape shifts and lets go, only to chase her around, giggling madly and trying to grab one of her tails.
Fertangle pats Leo on the back maybe a bit to hard, as he laughs " I knew..........." some how he managed to stop himself from blurting the rest of the sentence out, and drop the pouches into Leo's lap.
Leoxander has no comment. He just watches the groom of the wedding party for a few moments, a little bewildered by the scene. Most of his attention stays devoted to Fertangle, particularly with a pouch involved in their secretive conversation. Their inebriated state would be an excuse enough, but beyond that, they were old friends with possibly much to talk about.
Myncia yanks her tails out of the way just as Majo keeps reaching down for them, giggling madly. Eventually the shapeshifter got tired so she climbed up a random tree and sat on the topmost branch, watching Majo.
Majokoru huffs and begins to try and climb the tree before falling onto his rump. He stops and looks at the elemental, waves him over and hops onto it as it reaches him. He ascends to the spot where the large feline was and tried to grab one of her tails again.
Tenebrae 's feet were a little numb, but she wouldn't stagger -too- much as she made her way over to Myrall, the women clearly excluded from whatever mantalk was going on between their respective miscreants. "Wondered if we might get a little trade goin', for some of that rotgut?" Tene was all business, even when indulging in pleasures. Or so it'd seem.
Myrall finishes the dregs from both bottles and leans over to grab a couple more, but over reaches and instead lands flat on her back blinking up at the encroaching dusk.
Leoxander might run out of room to store payment like that. Of course, you won't hear a word of complaint from the thief, who might finish one more bottle and share some crude 'not-for-wives'-ears' kind of humor with his friend before he actually gets down to the business aspect, of this event. He'll make a surprisingly sober eye contact with Tenebrae, for a heartbeat, before his eyes close for another long drink of potent alcohol that... doesn't effect a lycan like it would a human. Or even a well tolerant dwarf.
Myncia sticks her tongue out at Majo and dashes down the tree again and moving into a squirrel hole, scaring the poor inhabitant, who ran out, chittering angrily.
Majokoru shrugs and just gives up at the chase, he floats back down and stays on the elemental as he glides over the ground over to Rurik," Hayz....how is youes?"
Myncia pokes her head out and watches Majo, grinning. "I win."
Tenebrae guessed that businesstalk wasn't on the cards. She'd bend, tucking her hands under Myrall's armpits. Dwarves might be small, but they sure were solid. "C'mon yer Highness. Let's walk, get some fresh air." Even if she had to be the leaning-post.
Myrall struggles into a sit and manages to procure another bottle of the wine for herself. Twisting the cork free she blinks at Tenebrae "Trade you sayyyyyy," Her eyes now wide open. "Trade ish good, yessssss, trade ish veryyyyys veryyys goods. Losht and losht of golds for all." she slurs, before allowing her body to fall backwards once more, wine still firmly gripped in her hand.
Leoxander would push up to his feet when he noticed Tenebrae trying to hoist the dwarf priestess to hers. His grin just didn't want to fade from there. "All partied out, then?" This might be the easiest money he's ever made, but then again... nothing is so simple in his life.
Myncia scampers out of the tree and over to the buffet, looking over the food. Looking around slyly, she picks up something at random and throws it at Majo, "Food fight!"
Tenebrae didn't notice that Jack had gotten up some doggy courage and crept out from under the table, though she -had- caught the pirate's glance (unlike the bouquet). The mutt let out a soft growl Myncia's way, before trotting off in the direction of the beach.
Fertangle whispered to Leoxander, “It should be easy enough to..........get her to be compliant as she hates water travel and has to get..........completely and utterly blathered ............drunk to travel the waters, so she'll be right out of it. Won't know a thing until it to late, I think a couple of weeks should do nicely."
Leoxander whispered to Fertangle, “Whatever you say, boss. Hell, for a pouch that size, I'll keep her swabbin' the decks for a month."
Tenebrae allowed the dwarfess her drink, whilst still attempting to tug the woman to her feet. "C'mon, let's talk about it outside, do y'good." She'd slide Leo a look that might mean "little help?"
Tenebrae 's plight wasn't helped by a faceful of cake.
Myrall again struggles to a sit, and trying to gather her wits, overly carefully places the bottle on the ground in front of her before rummaging in her knapsack for her cloak and pin. Managing to fight the cloak around her shoulders in a vaguely orderly fashion, she then tries to fasten the pin, after a couple of failed attempts, and a few bloodied fingers she grins at no-one in particular. "I ish alsright, I ish jusssss a bit chilly."
Leoxander passes by way of the crate Fertangle revealed earlier, storing a few bottles in his arms and offering one to Tenebrae once he should join her side. A subtle motion of his jaw toward Myrall, that she should pass the reserve to her drunken charge, the one he might eventually have to carry, once she was too blitzed to even comprehend the joys of trading.
Fertangle laughs heartily. "If that floats your boat," he bleats out in between gasps of laughter
Myncia picks up another cake and looks around for a victim before throwing it at Colette.
Colette said to Majokoru, "Congrats Dear."
Leoxander said to Tenebrae, "Tha' should help."
Leoxander said this with a grin.
Majokoru grabs up some cake and goes over to Colette, only to toss it at her.
Majokoru said to Colette, "Thank you! feel free to join in the cake fight....~sticks tongue out
Colette screams as she is hit in the face with cake, "What in the" She stops mid-sentence as she glares at Myncia, "You are so going to pay for that!" She giggles before picking up a piece of cake. The young vampiress launches it towards the cake throwing monster.
Tenebrae did as bid, the bottle secured in dwarven hands she was pretty sure were designed for gripping bottles while inebriated, and would lead the dwarfess toward the beach. "Tha's a lass. Stay warm now, there's a chill wind." Or a ill one. Whatever.
Colette glares at Majokoru as he tosses a piece of cake into her hair. She grabs the same piece, launching it back at him.
Leoxander ducks his head and shields himself with a tattooed arm when cake frosting goes flying in their general direction. He mutters to Tenebrae about then and moves to help with the unstable dwarf, stooping down to wrap an arm around her back. "Think it's 'bout time to leave..."
Franz after struggling with the stocking for quite some time, and surprisingly mostly unnoticed, finally is able to get it off his face and on his chest. Suddenly he had the bright idea to turn around, thus releasing his wind's grip on the stocking. He turns to Majokoru as his wind calms down. "What am I supposed to do with this?"
Myncia ducks the cake, grinning before diving behind a chair and throwing cake after cake at Colette.
Tenebrae nodded and all but hustled the lot of them along.
Leoxander pretty much picks Myrall up off her feet between them, so even though she might move her legs to help walk, she will only be swimming a foot or two above the ground.
Colette lays on the ground in the fetal position, "I give, I give!" She screams and laughs as countless pieces of cake smash against her body.
Majokoru smiles at her then is hit in the face with the cake," Aww...I got hit...." he turns his attention to the man with the stockings," Well...I think it means your are supose to be married next..." he smiles and grabs some cake to toss it at him.
Tenebrae , since Leo had Myrall and all, would pause to swipe a few things off the table before hurrying after them.
Fertangle still sat on the floor clutching several bottles, begins to snore rather loudly though if one were to look at the Dwarven king they would notice his eyes are wide open.
Franz 's wind inadvertently keeps any cake away from his vicinity. Without his knowing, any cake thrown at him would be thwarted.
Myncia grins, picking up more cake and throwing it at someone a random.
Myrall is lifted off her feet, them waving helplessly in the air, and waves the bottle out in front of her. "To the pub I says, yesh, thats it the pub, get some of the Rynvale ale to wash this swill down with."
-- The Broken Barrel Tavern, Rynvale--
Leoxander selected their table carefully; closest to the door, not so drenched in light. A familiar, friendly atmosphere so there was nothing to be suspicious about. As he was the one to help Myrall the whole way, despite much shorter, drunken steps taken by her royal... highness? ...Leo wouldn't leave her side until she was settled into a chair at a table. "We're celebratin', then. To old friends." This claimed as Leo indicated for one of those serving girls to bring them a round, whatever Myrall's preference, if she could comprehend an order. Ale would be their choice to fall back on, but the pirate was soon finding a seat nearby to enjoy his female company, one of which he would exchange a wicked and pleased look with, once the Necromancer was near.
Myrall blinks drunkenly and manages to mumble just one coherent word. “Ale.”
Tenebrae held the door when they entered, and returned the pirate's look with one of her own when she slid to a seat not far from him. She set the pilfered bottles of potent dwarf-brew on the table, each making a glassy thud, and took up the tankard he offered her. "To old friends, indeed." She'd hand Myrall another of Fertie's alcoholic atrocities, whether the Queen had finished the one she had or not.
Myrall more through habit than design lifts the bottle to her lips and drinks long and hard, before placing the now empty one of the table and starting on the one Tene had given her. "Friends." she mutters between gulps. "Yesh indeed, good friends."
Leoxander finished his like it was water, using the back of his arm to wipe away some of the frothy foam formed along the rim of the mug. Returning his gaze to the priestess, he struck up casual conversation with the drunk healer. "I always loved it here, y'know? Smell o' the sea, no one bloody cares who you are here, long as you got the coin. Who's runnin' this city now? Noticed the mayor's office cleaned out."
Tenebrae took a long sup from her ale, the pub's own brew soothing on a throat burned by harsher liquor. She'd settle back in her chair, tension easing from her small frame somewhat, and remove amethyst pins that'd kept her hair drawn back tightly from her features. Just as well, cake and all.. there was still a bit of icing on the tip of her nose.
Leoxander divided his attention between the two, since they both kept up with those sorts of affairs. He always loved taking the opportunity to gather random information.
Myrall finishes the bottle of Fertie's special, and after emitting a long and very unlady like burp slumps over to one side and starts snoring loudly.
Tenebrae gave Leo a meaningful look, and set her tankard down. "Not likely we'll be talkin' business with 'er. To the ship?"
Leoxander had a little bit of cake stuck in his hair, a splatter drying to his arm. Either Jack or Tenebrae would probably do something about that, later. The necromancer made both dog and lycan bathe, and all... she spoiled all their fun.
Leoxander said to Tenebrae, "Well I didn't know she'd be out already. I s'pose I gotta carry her, then."
Tenebrae gave Leo a neat little smile. "Yup. I'll bring the rest..." She waved a hand toward the bottles. "No point wastin' it."
Leoxander sighed, and gathered the dwarf in his arms, over a shoulder. No one would find it that odd that someone was being carried out of the Broken Barrel. He left a tip from Fertangle.
Tenebrae would follow him out, stowing bottled to pack, and wondering exactly what was said between Leo and Fertie.. and exactly how much was in that sack.
-- Aboard The Eternity--
Leoxander ducked out of habit once oak doors were secured closed behind them, and he took the steps heavily because he knew the ship was safe, that no one was around to listen to them. As a werewolf, he was aware of these things, senses heightened even with a more human appearance. His original form was more a disguise, now... another kind of mask. What few weapons he'd carried, some stolen trinkets out of his pockets, oh... and that well fed dwarf were all things he deposited down around the ship, setting Myrall up against some barrels where he wouldn't even bother to tie their 'captive' up. She was still their friend even though she was their 'ransom'... and he'd push his unbuttoned duster off his shoulders to cover her with it before moving toward their small, shared space. The first words he'd mutter to her, or the air around them depending on where Tenebrae came to stand, was of course: "I've got a plan."
Tenebrae had struggled up that rope ladder with a pack that weighed almost as much as the Queen, possibly, despite her sharp heels that'd add a few more scratches and dints to worn boards as well as those recently replaced. The bag was slung to the deck of the lower hold, more carefully than usual for its unwrapped cargo of bottles, and she watched Leo tucking Myrall in, so to speak. He really was a softie, at heart. Well... in some ways. He might catch the tender smile she wore, when he looked at her. "Glad you have one. I wasn't expectin' this bit of luck."
Tenebrae would pick a bit of cake out of his hair, flicking it to the floor. No doubt Sam'd enjoy that for a rattish treat, later.
Leoxander unbuckled his armor as he dropped into the chair at his desk, glancing at the candle, but too impatient to light it when his night vision was as well trained as it could be. Two pouches of gold, several handfuls of spare, one gaudy ruby and diamond ring that was likely plucked from one of the wedding guests, a folding knife... these were all things he would have shown to no one else but put his treasures on display for the necromancer. She was after all, his partner, and he trusted her with his life and illegal wealth. The profit he'd made in his short time back among the public was baffling. "So we're going to have... some company for a while. Probably around fifty 'K's worth, judging by that weight." He turned in his chair to face her, leaning back with a smug expression and lazy posture. "I say we give them a break. Take the healer on somethin' to keep her busy. Make sure she doesn't know why she's out here..." He'd add in a murmured undertone, feral eyes squinting. "...Was almost too easy, wasn't it?"
Tenebrae chewed her lip, first in utter amazement at the loot the pirate set out on the desk, peridot eyes widening, glinting greenly with an avaricious gleam he'd know too well. What a haul... Teeth continued pressing down for a moment, after he spoke. She nodded, slowly, "Yeah..." And her eyes shifted from the treasures to meet his mismatched gaze, likely half-hidden under blond strands. "So, tell me... what was all that with Fertie, and why..." She'd shift a glance toward Myrall and back, understanding dawning. "He bloody didn't, did he...?" She'd have a little frown perched on her brow, a woman's sympathetic outrage momentarily quelling her sheer delight at their good fortune.
Leoxander leaned onto the arm of his chair to cast a checking glance at the sleeping dwarf. If he had a pillow he might have given her one, but he didn't, so she'd probably have a neck cramp in the morning. Such is life. "Aw, hell, Tene'... can you blame him? I ain't the only one who likes a little personal time." Granted, his 'personal time' was a long while, and for other reasons, but he could be brutally honest with the vampire, and not think twice about the consequences. "Still... I don't want it to bloody ruin their marriage. He was pretty sloshed overboard by the time I got o'er there. I assume he was jess' drunk and wanted some peace an' quiet. Helluva tip for a vacation, though." He opened a random drawer, digging out another nearly empty bottle to finish it off.
Tenebrae's lips were string as the explanation came, one brow arced sharply over its peridot eye, the other joining it when he spoke of his own "holiday" from partnered life. "Mhm...." The sound was light, deceptively nonchalant and if there was any expression in her eyes that might add to the general air of disapproval, it'd be hidden when she suddenly got busy tidying up her pack. "Well, the gold'll come in handy, that's a fact. And I'll make sure she isn't... hurt, by it."
Leoxander would pick up a small, stray coin from the pile on the desk, angling his arm back so that with a snap of his fingers, he'd flick it playfully in her direction, pegging the floor near her foot in perfect aim. It might ricochet and roll across the planks, harmlessly. "Think he'll remember?" Such a simple question, said softly, to change the subject, but it brought up a valid point. If Fertangle didn't remember how he'd lost his wife, there would be... other opportunities. He only raised his brows in question at her reaction to his crude and upfront behavior.
Tenebrae stared at the coin, which spun on edge after glancing off her boot for long seconds, and she'd not pause to make a mental bet as to which side it landed on before her eyes rolled upward and her head shook minutely. She was smiling, albeit faintly, by the time she glanced Leo's way again. "Let's hope not." Her smile grew sharper. "But even if so, I think his Majesty'll not want a vengeful wife on his hands.." And a sharper smile, still. "We all know how vicious those can get." Not that Tene really counted as a 'wife', she supposed. Sam was a handy distraction, creeping out from behind a barrel to dash across the floor. She watched him scarper with the cake crumbs tucked in furry cheeks.
Leoxander followed the rat's movement with sharp eyes when there was an opportunity to look away. He never had given her an answer to a question she'd asked a long time ago, unless his disappearance could be considered just that. Fortunately, she hadn't brought it up, not even in the face of a wedding. "A healer might come in handy, anyhow. We might want to try our hand in another game for awhile. Cenril's probably doubled their wall-paper, by now." He could not have looked more inviting to be Tenebrae's lap chair, but she hadn't come his way after the way he spoke to her. So eventually, he'd start to sit up, stacking coins like playing chips, to follow along with the card game references. He'd only need to count it once, because he rarely miscounted even when faced with a distraction. Such as a vampire in black leather.
Tenebrae's thoughts on the entire matter .. both matters, possibly...would be kept to herself, and she made another small sound, which could have been agreement, or an indication she thought he was insane. Whichever, the vampiress in leather did not let her eyes meet his again, though that mismatched gaze was likely set upon a different kind of booty anyway. "Think I'll go find Jack." Heels were abruptly sharp on boards, then stairs. If he -was- looking, legs clad in black lizardskin would be the last the pirate'd see of her form when she clambered through the hatch.
