Senka is for once not brought to the other end of Hollow by her wandering spirit. No, for once the wolf has a purpose leading her here and she only stops once at the edge of the graveyard, rising her snout high in hopes of catching that subtle scent of the one she's currently tracking. Intense red eyes are dead serious when they finally lock on the necromancer once her paws have carried her far enough. Once again the beast displays her true chaotic nature and she doesn't stop when she nears the woman. Instead Senka pushes off in an attempt of landing her paws on the woman's shoulder in hopes of toppling Tenebrae over with her standing on top, though even in her impulse she's careful not to truly hurt the other though one would not know from looking at her. If she succeeds, unnervingly close red eyes will glaze over as they stare directly into the one she has just 'attacked'. Her voice seems more rougher then normal, thick with repressed emotion though it would be hard to judge what emotion that will be, "-Don't- move..."
Dzeul said, "Hello Tenebrae"
Tenebrae, for the second time that day, found herself flat on her back on the ground below a set of paws, landing heavily backward in her topple from the gravestone with an 'oof' of air expelled from her lungs. Not having any real idea that the apparent attacker was known to her, she'd rapidly have her fingers clenched about the handle of her knife, the tip of this blade brought to rest under Senka's chest. Only the fact that she was already recovering from a fresh bout of bruises and therefore slowed a little prevented the wolfess being disembowelled on the spot. Tene, though, wasn't going to drop the knife just yet. Not the way Senka'd just treated her, and not with that gleam in her eye. It took Tene a minute to get her breath. "I suggest you might do the same." A slitted peridot gaze met Senka's scarlet. "And what the hell are you doing?"
Dzeul hand went straight to the hilt of his Katana and he stood in a defensive posture, realising that some exchange of blows had taken place he stood not knowing the strength and hostility level of the pair. He waited nervously, afraid to draw his blade or turn away.
Senka finds herself feeling an odd mingle of disappointment and respect at the feel of the knife against her skin but only those who really know her can see it in her eyes. With ears slowly flattening against her skull, the albino is hardly aware of a third party entering this place reeking of death, and instead ponders for a moment how to proceed. But then her defences are briefly dropped in favour of having her eyes glazing over and her familiar rough yet oddly feminine voice can be heard in Tenebrae's mind, "Searching for something. Now keep still,' Ignoring the knife for now, perhaps because she's under the impression it isn't silver, the wolf slowly allows her massive head to lower, slow enough to show she means no harm. The beast even goes as far as closing her eyes to better take in every single scent lingering on the vampire, growling low in her throat though why one can never be sure with the lycan.
Dzeul didn't know what to do now, to move to pass through and perhaps provoke attack? He stood and waited, his stance unchanging, ready to draw his blade if necessary (although he wasn't sure what good it would do if it came to that) He watched, staring from the distance
Tenebrae had known Senka for some time now, and was well aware she was close to Leo.. Nevertheless, it was not the vampiress' nature to accept being thrown down by anybody, and it rankled her. Particularly as tired and half-wounded as she was. "Get.. off.. me." The words were enunciated through gritted fangs, Tene's body tensing hard against the indignity. Senka might be an alpha wolf, but Tene was the equivalent to her own kind, and had taken this behaviour as the highest insult. Her hand tightened on the knife as the wolf's muzzle lowered. There'd better be a bloody good explanation for this, or things might end up just.. bloody.
Dzeul felt the fight or flight instinct in him become strong, adrenaline rushing through his veins as he could feel his heartbeat raise. He was a good Knight, but out of his league here, the tension stronger then the smell of the rotting dead here in this half dug-up graveyard.
Senka only pauses when the hand of the vampire tightens on the knife, something she can feel with the added tremble such an action brings, having completely ignored the words before. Growling low in her throat in annoyance, snout wrinkling with it, the albino yet again locks gazes with the woman currently beneath her, looking very much as if she won't. But then slowly, one at the time, large paws are moved to a different location. The wolf is then standing by the necromancer's feet rather then over her, but her expression is still unreadable with her being in wolf's form as always. It's then that the albino finally notices a third party and bares her teeth at him in warning to go away *now* before returning her intense gaze back to the female before her. She was the pup's mate, that much she knew, but she had always thought...Well, no matter how much Senka would like to take another, deeper, sniff at Tenebrae's scent she knows that she's pissed the vampire off now leaving her chances rather slim. However, the beast feels no urge to explain herself and merely continues to openly, without any trace of embarrassment, study the other.
Dzeul took a few short steps back, taking the warning as he moved his eyes narrowed to thin slits and his own, deadly sharp dragon-inherit teeth bared as he did so, taking his retreat at leisure
Tenebrae scooted backward as Senka's weight shifted off her, knife-grip changing with a spin of handle from the thumbs-forward of the upper thrust to the knife tip's pinch of thumb and forefinger, the blade balanced thus for fast pitching. Returning an implacable stare to the white wolf's eyes, she spoke in a carefully moderated, if very chill tone. "I would -really- like to know what that was all about, Senka."
Dzeul stopped his cautious retreat and stood defiantly, although still purely defensively, watching the pair and curious as to what this was all about.
Senka allows a deep unearthly growl to come forth at the vampire's question and with a weary glance to the knife, the beast allows herself another step backwards. For a moment the beast does nothing but stare at the other, muscles tensed and ready for action but then the albino forces herself to relax. Red eyes yet again glaze over and when her voice enters the other's mind it's without any trace of embarrassment, "Smelling your scent," As if this explains it all, Senka boldly steps closer again, ears low but not flattened against her skull in the hopes of taking another sniff. One thing's for sure, the lycan -is- acting a bit strange, even for her.
Dzeul only able to hear the vampire speak, for he had guessed that the Lycan was using some other form of communication felt a little confused, carefully watching both, at this distance it would take a good few strides for either of them to strike him in melee combat, this made his heartbeat return to it's normal rhythm, although he was still very wary.
Tenebrae 's next breath was a soft hiss. "Well, that's bleeding obvious, isn't it?" She lowered her chin, eyes glimmering amber over green, her glare under a frown-darkened brow. "I'm meaning, I think it's best you tell me -why- exactly you felt it necessary to bowl me over and do so?" Had she hackles, they'd be up. The vampiress was threatened enough by and about Leos' predicament and growing bond with Senka to doubt the wolf's intentions here, odd behaviour or not. Below that aggression, Tene's voice of reason told her that she should calm, and she'd done a pretty good job so far, things considered. Her vampire nature, however, was much closer to holding the reins this day. "Senka, back off. And you'd better explain yourself now."
Dzeul 's face went totally emotionless - his battle face as it were - as he stood there, watching and waiting, he slowly drew his Katana about 5 inches, making it easier to draw fully should the need arise, he stood motionless, still full of fear but resolved in his mind to pass through here.. eventually.
Senka merely lowers her head more so that her shoulders are seen over her head, deciding not to get closer to the pissed up vampire at her hiss. So instead the wolf remains where she is, allowing the other to continue to question her in an offended fashion. But still the lycan remains silent until finally, the last comment of the vampire has her slowly pacing back, giving her space. For a moment longer the albino seems keen on holding her silence. But then Senka averts her eyes for a moment but then she's locking gazes again and her attitude shows that she's not going to bother being guilty at her next words, "I heard you were cheating on your mate," The statement seems to linger for a moment and Senka's lowered ears might be explained now. Despite her efforts not to, she's grown attached to the pup and gets upset everytime he's hurt. Then slowly, after having given the other some time to mull that over, Senka allows her voice, which she's obviously trying to keep from sounding like she cares, to once again enter the female's mind, "So I decided to check it out. Don't whine over a little fall, I hardly hurt you," She's been careful not to hurt the other with her claws at least, Senka silently sulkily thinks to herself, what more does one expect from her?
Tenebrae had been frowning before. She was scowling now, slowly rocking her body forward to rise to a half-kneel in the loamy graveyard earth. "Senka., even if this were the case, what possible business would that be of yours?" Her lips drew back over elongated teeth, Tene very obviously enraged. "Leo isn't your property. He's not -your- mate, or your family. He might be your friend, but that's not got you the right to poke your nose.." Quite literally, she didn't add, ".. into our personal business like this. Treat me like some.. pup." She almost spat that last word out. "Now, get. The hell. Away from me." The knife was shaking in her hand, her eyes paled to near-white. Senka wasn't the only one who wasn't quite herself, right now.
Dzeul watched what was going on, now more intrigued then confused. He sheathed his Katana slowly, it still making a "click" sound as he did so. He observed still, standing defensively as ever, but his sword hand more relaxed now
Senka can't help but wrinkle her snout when Tenebrae begins speaking, her head lowering again in a stance that both could be defensive as hostile. Her tail too lowers to hang between her legs, not in a submissive but in an angry way. The wolf flinches when the vampire tells her she's not family, refusing to think about the 'mate' comment, but it's the last sign of weakness the albino allows for now, or so she tels herself. Growling low in her throat, furious eyes still locked upon the female before her, Senka tries to control her anger enough to be able to enter the other's mind again. But it's in vain, she's been tested one too many times today and too angry at the necromancer's earlier comment to be able to control herself like she normally can. Yet there is something holding the wolf back, something that keeps the massive beast from attacking, knife be damned. Perhaps it's the times she's been friendly with the vampire, perhaps it's her guilt finally catching up, but the white creature stays standing, torn, for now..
Dzeul 's eyes watched the movements of the Lycan, reading the body language and wondering what on earth had transpired. At that moment he wished he was more magically intuned, so perhaps he could eavesdrop on the conversation they were having.
Tenebrae lowered the knife, and stood, quite abruptly. "If you really want to know, Senka. Really. No, I am not cheating on my mate." Her features were stark white. Her gaze was sharp and hard as flint toward the wolf, as she flipped the blade in a blur that glinted silver to wedge in the dirt at Senka's forepaws. "And you're not acting like any female does..." Her voice would calm, her flesh stop its trembling. ".. over concern for a friend. What was it, Senka, that made you hunt me out like this?" That suspicion was so redolent, it'd be a wonder the wolfess wasn’t mentally drowning in it.
Senka tenses in surprise and some suspicion of her own as the vampire suddenly drops the knife only to answer her earlier unspoken question. Blinking in surprise and with slowly rising ears, the albino allows herself to relax a bit only to flinch as the knife is thrown between her paws. Growling moodily in half-hearted protest the lycan almost misses the necromancer's next statement. Her growling dies in a rather surprised fashion when she's presented a question of her own. Staring at the female now in obvious confusement, Senka suddenly seems much, much smaller then what she normally does. But then, being female she -is- quite small for a lycan, something her ego usually makes up for. Her 'voice' is faint, not strong and confident but meek and filled with what her body language already gives away "What made me..?" But then the beast is back to her senses, shaking her head in an odd human way as another annoyed growl escapes her. "What is it with you two-walkers? You always think I have something up my sleeve," her 'voice' is practically growling in the vampire's mind now, annoyed and angry, as usual, "Just because I sometimes stand up for the pup doesn't mean I want to steal him away. By Luna! I don't even -like- the grouchy bastard..." Well, that's an obvious lie, at least. One doesn't tend to stick up for people they don't like, "Let alone that I want to steal him. I don't even *believe* in this whole mate deal anymore," Breathing heavily as if she's just yelled those outloud rather then growl them in a vampire's mind, Senka suddenly finds herself a bit too restless for comfort. She doesn't like the woman's suspicion...it makes her nervous and doubt herself.
Dzeul began to creep closer, attempting to slip by unnoticed. His footfalls were surprisingly quite considering his profession, and he walked oh-so-cautiously, in that same defensive stance towards them
Tenebrae had, however, caught that moment of unsurety in the lycan. And it had deflated the ballooning wad of rage inside her, somewhat, leaving Tene's well over-adrenalised body feeling weak, shaky. Senka's words to follow were mere confirmation of what had already been communicated. "Very well." The vampiress was pulling herself together, as well as anyone could given the events of the past few days. "But don't ever jump me like that again, I can't promise I wouldn't gut you like a rabbit, were I in the wrong frame of mind." There wasn't a lot of venom in those words, though, just a quiet statement of fact. Now that her mind was clearing a little, something occurred to Tene, and she'd start idly pacing a few steps to and fro, pausing to pose Senka another question. "So.. who exactly did you 'hear' this gossip from. I'd be very interested in finding out."
Dzeul moved softly towards them, now well withn but a few strides, he cautiously moved by the Lycan's side, making as much distance between himself and the wolf as possible and walking at as solid a pace as he could muster.
Senka really doesn't know what to make of the other's "very well" since it hardly makes her feel as if her words are taken as true. Tenebrae's next words distract her however, making her growl moodily in obvious pride as if to say that such a thing would never happen to her but it's mostly for show. The lycan knows when to take advice while pretending not to. Fierce red eyes follow the necromancer's movement as she begins to pace, not trusting the other quite yet only to blink again at the next question. With lowering ears the wolf tries to find a way to answer without lying, she -never- lies simply because she's -not- good at it. Two-walkers always manage to see through it ... "I'd rather not tell," the blunt truth, as always, more or less escapes the creature rather then being send on purpose, an impulse she has yet to control and has managed to land her in a lot of trouble. Then, as Senka tilts her head to the side, her voice almost gets an...hopeful edge,"But can I say it was Hiryu anyway? The idiot has been bugging me like a fly with too much luck and I -really- wouldn't mind if he happened to got drained of al his blood,"
Tenebrae blinked, slowly. "Hiryu..."The name rang a bell, she'd heard it in her tavern now and then, but with so many different faces and names milling about in the place at any given time, she was having trouble matching the two in this case. Still, a name was a name. She wondered what that individual had seen... heard.. As though a chill wind had gusted from the northern icecaps, the former necromancer shivered suddenly, a slide of gaze shifting toward the west, and her body started aching again, as if in memory of what she'd suffered. "Thankyou." The reply was accompanied by a dip of chin, acknowledgement for the favour given. What action she might plan to take against that 'informer' would remain in her private thoughts. Knowing Tene, it'd be something .. artistic. Her gaze, grown distant, re-focussed on Senka, a fresh crease furrowing in her smooth but contusion-stained brow. "One last question, if you will. Did Leo hear about this? And if he did, what happened?"
Senka tenses at the vampire's question and a soft whine even escapes her throat. This was why she never lied...it -always- turns against her. Conflicted by several thoughts and emotions the wolf restlessly lifts and lowers her paws before allowing her eyes to glaze over, "You know...it was real fun talking to you," Right, and even more fun getting threatened with a silver knife, "But I really ought to go. My territory tends to get run over with strangers when I'm not there," Knowing very well that she's just avoided answering in a rather not-subtle way, the wolf turns to walk away from the smell of death. Unless, of course, the necromancer bothers to stop her.
Tenebrae said to Senka, "You told him, didn't you?" Too right Tene would stop her slinking off like that. "I want to know what happened, Senka. He -is- my mate, it's my right to know." If the lycan hadn't stopped, she'd be followed. "If you've let tavern chit-chat cause us harm..."
Senka pauses when the vampire just accuses her again, just like that. Hackles raising in annoyance, the wolf turns her head to look passed her body so that she can fix her fierce eyes upon the other. The final comment especially hurts the wolf's ego, never her heart, and she turns to fully face the other once again, ignoring the fact that she's dishonouring someone's grace while doing so. Yet again, the fierce look is softened when it becomes glazed but her voice looses none of it's rough edge, "Right, because I spend my time hanging around with two-walkers in the tavern doing nothing more then drinking. Use some sense, vampire, I know you usually have it," Growling in an annoyed fashion the beast moves closer to the other, to make certain she's understood. "I haven't told him anything to harm your ..your relationship," here there's obvious disgust at the word, but the wolf continues before Tenebrae can draw her conclusions, "In fact, I've helped him get you back from the moment the fool came walking in my territory. I stopped him from harming you, didn't I? So have some bloody faith in me already!" Yet again the wolf growls but now at herself for she knows -very- well that having faith in her isn't exactly the...wisest thing to do. For a moment the lycan pauses, in thought, but then her eyes yet again glaze and her voice, more controlled now, once more enters the other's mind, "If you want to know what he thinks, then talk to -him- about it, why don't you? I'm sure he'll be more happy to tell you if he suspects anything," Again, the albino feels discomfort, because this is as close to lying as she can truly get. She doesn't want to ruin 'the pup's plans but she doesn't want to cause harm either. Okay, not to -them- at least.
Tenebrae was still tense, sensing that certain hesitancy in the wolfess' thoughts. But she had to agree that on the face of it, Senka had been helpful. And the logic in that final argument was irrefutable-- only Leo knew his own heart, not even she was privy to all his secrets, after all their time together. Tene nodded, a sigh huffed over her lips. "Once more, thankyou." She'd turn away, only briefly, and when she looked back there'd be something very vulnerable about her features. "I do love him, you know.." Her last words on it all being said, Tene would drift off, to disappear between rows of memorial stones taller than herself.
Senka merely makes a faint noise and averts her entire head, the 'thank you' rolling off her shoulders like water on a duck's back. When she turns back to look at the vampire, she sees the other in a vulnerable state and it makes her heart clench. Something about the woman she has only seen as strong being this...well...in this state makes Senka suddenly wonder about the limits of her own power. Having no words at the heartfelt words of Tenebrae at first, Senka merely watches teh other drift off until her own words, drifting across space themselves to faintly enter the other's mind, are found by the lycan and send, "I know..." What else was there to it? The wolf wonders as she too turns to make the long journey back to her own territory.
Dzeul said, "Hello Tenebrae"
