STRATEGIES
USING DISTRACTION
-As we all know rangers cannot fire arrows at spell casters because of their capability in destroying the arrows or bolts. one fine example on how to attack a spell caster is by using distractions. -
EXAMPLE:
Ben the ranger, throws a sack of flour toward Mark.
Mark the Mage, summons a fireball to destroy the flying sack of flour.
Ben seizes the moment as the mage is busy destroying the sack and blocking his view by its contents, Ben raises his bow and fired at his enemy.
-By this simple example, when a distraction is created an unevadable attack may be created. of course the explosion of the fireball is still ringing in your ears and you cannot hear the arrow coming and with the white flour covering your sight the arrow will be completely undetected. -
PENETRATING ARMORS WITH DAGGERS
-As usual, daggers are simply knives it cannot thrust through tough armor. yet with adding force on it, a dagger penetrating an armor would be believable. -
EXAMPLE
Ben the Paladin, raises his shield readying himself for any attacks.
Mark the Thief, started running from the edge of the room toward his enemy. while running he consistently drags his dagger and let its blade hit the ground. With such speed the dagger started to catch fire due to friction. Then few meters from his enemy he jumps and points his dagger toward the paladin hoping that his weight with the added force from his running and the heat of his blade would be enough to penetrate through his enemies armor.
-of course by this post. paladins cannot generally evade so he would let the dagger penetrate through his armor.-
A WARRIOR ATTACKING A RANGER
-Because of the Rangers known speed, accuracy and ability to penetrate through thick armors and the Warriors low in evasion and agility, there is still a way for Warriors to make a hit to a Ranger.-
EXAMPLE:
-You just have to be patient and wait for the ranger to make a Charged arrow or arrow rain.-
Ben the Ranger, takes an arrow from his quiver and started striking it to the ground. the head of the arrow started burning and its tip turned red hot. he raises his longbow and aims for his enemy.
Mark the Paladin, watches his enemy as he started striking his arrow at the ground. he seizes the moment and throws his shield towards the ranger as he was still busy aiming toward him hoping that the thrown shield is enough to throw his enemy off balance.
-Firing at a thrown shield is definitely useless. -
Ben suddenly saw the flying shield coming fast toward him. he lowers down his longbow and started to do his evasive action yet there was no time and the shield was coming fast. he raises his own shield and readies himself for the impact. then with less than a second after he raised his shield, the flying shield and his own started striking each other, with such force the ranger lost his balance and fell on the ground.
-Of course one way or another the Ranger will be thrown off balance. -
Mark watches his enemy fall into the ground. he smiles as his plan worked. he rushes toward his enemy and points his sword toward his fallen enemy.
-A Ranger that is lying in the ground cannot fire properly. An arrow fired within 5 inches is useless and the fire arrow already cooled down-
