And that would be why I don't vote. They are all the same, promise things and don't follow through. Bah. It was funny though!

I don't mean to be mean, but by not voting, you give up your right to complain about the administration, whoever it turns out to be. Not voting accomplishes nothing. Sometimes you just have to choose the lesser of the two evils. But you seriously are not allowed to complain if you don't vote.

Hilarious. I loved it. xD
Not to gang up on you, though, Arysel, but I'm afraid I agree with Caed. I can't vote, but if I could, I would. >>

I voted for Bush, trust me, I complain long and loud about that one. And by not voting, I am voicing my choice that neither of them are good candidates. Not that it will make a difference, either way. I'd rather not choose any sort of evil, lesser or not, if I don't have to, and I don't have to choose either of them if I don't vote for them.
On a lighter note, I think Caed would make a better president.

Vote third party if you have to, or write in.

I know eh, makes ya wanna vote, dunnit? XP . . .not really. I'm not convinced McCain or Obama are significantly different beyond the experience and savvy of the VP picks. Third party makes me cringe, and writing in is, of course, a throwaway vote. I am siginificantly underwhelmed, and their recent support for the pork-laden 'bail-out' bill (money for hollywood, nascar, wooden arrows, and rum in there among other things) has me fuming, quite frankly. Suffice to say that I hope Alaskan voters actually paid attention and WILL NOT vote STevens or Murkowski back to office. At least Young did the right thing, though I don't really like him either. No one can truly predict what would have happened if they'd let it go or if they'd taken more time to consider the issues. However, both McCain and Obama voted FOR it, when it is clear to me they did not take the time to deliberate it --- hell, the only thing the Senate DID do to it was add in the pork (and that tantalizing extra 150 billion). I don't see why Paulson should have so much control over so much money with relatively little oversight. I didn't read the whole bill. I read enough of it to start fuming. This along with the $1 trillion voted for the defense department (and some of the sections in there had me fuming as well) really sticks me. So, voting or not voting, neither gets my support. By voting, however, I hurt them worse. So, someone else who doesn't deserve presidency will ahve my vote. Prolly the Green Party, as much as I don't like the thought.

Erm... I'm Canadian. Following my own election (did you guys know Canada's having an election right now too? Yea, October 14th) is difficult enough for me. So, sorry to say, Kat, I generally block out info given on the American one... Except for laughing at it all. So, Canada's election is a farce at the moment too, no worries. They're all striving to be like the Europeans environment-wise; some bill or another, that they want us to follow like they are. Taking a look at it, it's utter bullocks and rather, well... impossible.

Hrm... Nope? Frig. I should go find the article. I read it in the newspaper this morning, at work. The green-pushers of the Canadian parties (NDP, Green, Liberal) kept going on about being more like the Europeans conservation-wise; the newspaper said sommat to this: With all this talk about following the Europeans, does anyone really know what that means? Let's look at a few things this would bring. Irish want their land protected, several other countries want this or that-- for this reason, it's impossible. Blah blah does this, but this contradicts that,a nd this contradicts that even more. It was like, woah. I had customers come in, then eventually my relief, so I didn't fully pay attention to it. >.> It's some sort of European Act/Proposal to "Save the World". That's it in a nutshell; a plan to save the world, that can't actually be done, according to the newspaper. Edit: I found it. Here's the article: www.torontosun.com/comment/editorial/2008/10/06/6991651-sun.html Hopefully you can make sense of it.

Keeping with the theme of government and politics. . . www.youtube.com/watch?v=p7FCgP7RdxQwww.youtube.com/watch?v=S-O5t5-NoGgIt's the presidential directive 51 (pretty sure that's the right number. . .military commissions act is another one) that alarms me the most, I remember looking that up awhile back. So many wrong executive orders floating around that Bush introduced. . . it scares me greatly. Add to that the great potential for a combat unit to be used for martial law and whoa.
